Actress ASIN from South India - Gallery

"My first preference is the story and then my character. Next importance goes to directors and finally to the hero of the movie. As I was able to take decisions clearly, I achieved such popularity within a short period", - Asin

So, that is the secret of Asin's success as told in her own words. Let's hope she rocks in bollywood as much as she is doing in South Cine Field.

Well, Have you ever noticed? Everytime when somebody searches for ASIN in Google, it asks 'Did you mean Asian?'

Hmmm, Yes...She is Asian indeed, to be more correct she is Indian, South Indian....Keralite by birth; Started her career in native mallu movies, and then Tamil Cinema gave her a great lift; She used to act in Kannada movies too, but not much. Telugu cine world is also important in her growth. And, she is expected to get very good place that our south indian starlets like Aishwarya Rai, Sridevi, Vidya Balan and all got in bollywood.

Every South Indian actress who goes to Bollywood takes no time in praising Bollywood heroes and Asin in no exception. This time around, Asin has also earned the praises of a prominent Hindi actor. Yes, her pronunciation and dialogue timing has stunned none other than popular Bollywood actor Aamir Khan.

Asin had proclaimed that her hero Aamir Khan is real gem of a person and a noble-hearted man. The actress is stunned by the actor's professional expertise on the sets of Ghajini. "Aamir is a perfect gentleman and a complete professional with noble heart. For an actress like me, it's an honour to work with such a high caliber artiste," she said in an interview in 2007.

Shriya Saran on Asin, Trisha

May have considered Asin and Shreya(Shriya) to be the only competition worthy of each other. But Shreya says that the two are very close friends. She even says that her mother watches all of Asin"s films after she saw the actress in Ghajini.

Shreya said, "I think Asin is a fine actress, and I like her a lot. My mom is a big fan of Asin. I have seen all her films like Ghajini, Sivakasi, Pokkiri and even her Telugu film Amma Nana. I think if Aamir Khan has chosen her as his heroine, it speaks volumes about her caliber and acting talent. We are good friends and not competitors."

When asking about her close friendship with Trisha, she said, "We catch up with each other regularly and are the best of friends. All these talks about our rivalry is nothing but gossip. In fact, I never thought any actress to be my competitor." A healthy trend indeed!
